Skills Scotland recently ran a careers day at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. The aim was to give school pupils an opportunity to look at career options.
We are always looking for any opportunity to promote a career in medicine, and of course, more specifically, a career in general practice. What better opportunity than to enthuse the GPs of the future before they even get into medical school!
Nine of our trainees helped out on the NHS Grampian stand at this event. It involved taking to 5th yr school pupils promoting and enthusing about working in the NHS. Our GP trainees were very much appreciated as they were the only doctors present!
