Oban Joins Our Rural Track Program

We are now delighted to be able to offer 2 new rotations to our growing Rural Track Programme for 2014. We now have 2 training practices in the Oban area giving the opportunity to train in the stunning area based around the Lorn and District Rural General Hospital.

For a number of years our 4 Year Caledonian program has had posts based at the Lorn And The Isles hospital in Oban.  The posts have received extremely positive feedback for both the breadth of experience and the educational and clinical support offered. Read about Mike McIvers experiences in Oban as part of his 4 year program.

The two local training practices, Lorn Medical Centre and Taynuilt Medical Practice, have now joined us to enable us to provide a complete training package based in this stunning area.

Oban is a thriving town which is extremely popular with outdoor enthusiasts and is within easy reach of Glasgow giving a great balance of opportunities. It is also the hub for ferries to many of the islands. The scenery and sporting opportunities are renowned and the hospital and local GPs are thriving and committed to teaching. We have no doubt that this will prove to be a popular programme.
